Did your child receive a "in danger of failing" comment on the 15 week report card?
Just so you know, we are not allowed to fail a student unless we give parents warning, thus the "in danger of failing." Now, normally a student with a B or C would never have to worry and their grade wouldn't drop. However, a few years ago, I had a student with a B in the class and she did not do another assignment the rest of the semester and failed the class. Yet, because she had such a high grade, I did not give her the comment "in danger of failing" on her report card, so I couldn't fail her, even though she did fail the class. So ever since then, I have put that comment on every students' report card, just to cover myself. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to email me at TaftHistory@aol.com
